Arms and ammunition recovered by security forces in J&K’s Kupwara

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday recovered a cache of arms and ammunition close to the Line of Control during a three-day long search operation.
Border Security Force (BSF) officials said that recovery was made in Tee Pee forest under the jurisdiction of Kralpora Police station in Kupwara district.
They said the recovery included a pistol with a magazine and eight rounds, five grenades and 270 rounds of AK 47 rifle.
In a post on X, BSF Kashmir said that based on specific intelligence, they along with Army and J&K Police launched an extensive search operation for three days from January 7 in Tee Pee forest, wherein large cache of war-like stores were recovered.

Meanwhile, Inspector General BSF, Kashmir frontier, Ashok Yadav on Friday visited the forward location near LoC to review the winter preparedness and domination plans of the force.
Yadav, during the visit to the snowbound forward location near the LoC, interacted with the troops and appreciated their commitment towards national security.
“Sh Ashok Yadav IPS, IG @ BSFKashmir visited forward locations to review the winter preparedness and domination plans in forward locations. During the visit, he interacted with troops and appreciated their commitment towards National Security”, BSF Kashmir posted on X.
