As part of Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to empower the women of remote area of Rajouri and Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir, a Festival for Women was organized by Army at Budhal from 29 Sep to 01 Oct 18.
The event has been conducted so as to ensure maximum participation of women/ girls students from various schools of the region. A variety of programs to include, Academic and Sports events were organised for the girl students. Debate, Quiz, Essay writing, Singing, Dancing and Kho-Kho were the main attraction of the festival. A total of 650 students from various schools took part in the event spanning over four days.
Principal of Government Degree Collage, Budhal, Naib Tehsildar, Budhal, Sarpach Gabbar and various other dignitaries were present for the event and expressed their gratitude towards the efforts of the Army. The women of Jammu and Kashmir have always been the focus of the Army and will always strive towards their empowerment.
