POONCH, Oct 24:
Amidst enthusiastic cheers, the grand opening ceremony of Cricket Tournament for schools of Poonch District was organised by Army at Sports Stadium Poonch. The T -20 Tournament featured Eight teams from Eight different schools of Poonch District. The tournament was conducted from 20 -24 Oct 19 with the final match played on 24 Oct 19.
The event was inaugurated by releasing balloons and interaction of the teams.
A diverse array of spectators flocked the Poonch Stadium ground to cheer their teams.
On the occasion, Army applauded the students for their efforts and encouraged them to make the best use of such a platform to display their sporting talent and also laid emphasis on the importance of games and sports for their overall development.
