More than 900 patients, including men, women and children were provided medical treatment and check-up, by the medical staff. Medicines were also distributed to the patients. During the event 10 Sewing Machines were distributed to local ladies and a tri-cycle was presented to a handicapped person hailing from village Hubi. Cloths distribution camp was also organised in collaboration with NGO Goonj.
In addition to this, a Skill Development Center was inaugurated at Phalni which will immensely benefit the youth from Samote and adjoining areas. The project has been established in partnership with Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) and Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI). The inauguration function was attended by about 150 persons of which a huge majority were women.
Speaking on the occasion on behalf of the locals, Sarpanch of the village expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards the Army for its pledge towards addressing the problems of the locals.
