In order to strengthen the bond between the local populace and the Indian Army, regular interactions are organised. Continuing the trend, an interaction with Sarpanches and prominent locals was organised at Balmatkote.
A total of 57 locals were present during the interaction in which a detailed discussion on maintaining harmonious environment in the region and issues related to development of the area, problems faced by the local populace and the work done by the Army to sustain peace and improve the quality of living of the local populace were discussed. The Army also advised all participants to have maximum participation in the election process and to exercise their right to vote to make it a successful election. The locals appreciated and applauded the support provided by the Army in all spheres. Speaking on the occasion, the Sarpanch of the village said that such meetings not only enhance the bond between the Army and AWAAM but also boost the morale of the locals which in turn assists in maintaining peace and harmony in the region.
