ARMY ORGANISES TEMPORARY SCHOOL FOR GUJJAR-BAKKARWAL CHILDREN AT KHARI, RAMBAN

To mitigate the hardships being faced by the children of Gujjars, Bakkarwals considering their nature of living & frequent move during summer, Indian Army started a temporary school for Gujjar and Bakkarwal children at Mori & Waomal village of Khari Tehsil of Ramban district.

Books & stationary items were distributed to the students. Midday meal is also being provided to students for the entire duration.

The school has been started by the Indian Army with an aim of bridging the gap, develop bonding & cohesiveness between Army & all sections of society and to make them aware about the importance of education.

With such kind of events taking place in Ramban district has created a tremendous impact on the civil population to achieve greater goal of National Integration. The initiative of the Army has been greatly appreciated  by the Awaam and the children attending the classes.
