Army Public School Akhnoor commemorated its 50th anniversary with a grand Time Capsule Ceremony, marking the beginning of its Golden Jubilee celebrations. The event, attended by students, faculty and distinguished guests, was highlighted by presence of the GOC, 10 RAPID, Patron of Army Public School, Akhnoor, who was the Chief Guest. The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and featured the unveiling of a commemorative logo symbolizing 50 years of excellence, along with the launch of the school magazine, Chenab Cascade. A series of performances by students, including a welcome song and cultural dance, added vibrancy to the occasion. Principal Mrs. Geeta Devi reflected on the school’s rich legacy and emphasized the importance of continuing the tradition of excellence that has defined APS Akhnoor for the past 50 years. She highlighted the school’s journey of dedication, commitment, and growth, and encouraged everyone to look forward to achieving even greater milestones in the future. The Chief Guest praised the institution for its outstanding contributions to education and leadership. He commended APS Akhnoor not only for its academic excellence but also for its role in shaping responsible and well-rounded individuals. He expressed confidence that the school would continue to thrive and make a significant impact in the years to come. The Chairman also expressed his appreciation for the achievements of the alumni and the progress the school is making. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the Vice Principal, Dr. Rakesh Chandar, who expressed gratitude to all those who made the day memorable and emphasized the importance of unity as the school embarks on its Golden Jubilee celebrations. As the time capsule was sealed to be opened 10 years from now, the gathering was reminded that this was only the beginning of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, with many more milestones to come.
