Additional Developmental Commissioner (ADC), Shopian Parvaiz Sajad Ganaie today convened a meeting of officers to review and finalize the arrangements for Shab -e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Medical Officer, Engineers from PHE, PDD, R&B, Assistant Director FCS&CA and other concerned officers and officials. The ADC directed the concerned to intensify market checking to keep a check on profiteering, hoarding and overcharging by shopkeepers across the district. He directed FCS&CA to ensure strict implementation of government approved rate list besides the hassle-free home delivery of gas supply to the consumers. ADC said that erring vendors, shopkeepers and traders should be booked for violating the rate list. He directed concerned to ensure availability of essential commodities in the market including vegetables and poultry besides timely supply of Gas, Kerosene, Flour and Sugar from the government depots to the consumers.
With regard to healthcare, the meeting was informed by the CMO that proactive steps have been taken and adequate staff and ambulances shall be available at various health centres across the district.
