Arvind Gupta, MLA Jammu West, today chaired a meeting with officials of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), including the Executive Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), and Junior Engineer (JEE) of Construction Division-2. The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss the status of ongoing development projects and the opening of tenders for new works in the constituency.
During the meeting, Arvind emphasized the need to expedite development works across all wards of Jammu West. He noted that progress had been hampered due to the imposition of the Model Code of Conduct, leading to a standstill in various projects. However, with the conclusion of the electoral process, he directed the JMC officials to ensure that the work resumes at full speed and no time is lost in the execution of pending tasks.
“We cannot afford any delays in the development of Jammu West. Every Ward deserves equal attention, and I will personally monitor the progress to ensure that no area is left behind,” he added. He further instructed the officials to expedite the process of tender openings, ensuring transparency and timely completion of projects.
The MLA reiterated his commitment to holistic development in his constituency and assured the residents that all efforts would be made to address their concerns.
“The development works should now be carried out in full swing, and every citizen should witness tangible improvements in their locality. No Ward will be neglected, and I will see to it that the benefits of these projects reach every corner of Jammu West,” he added.
The JMC officials assured their full cooperation in executing the projects effectively and efficiently.
