MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta, today inaugurated the much-awaited blacktopping work inside the premises of Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, and along the main road of Hospital Ward No. 27. The project, undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.40 crore, aims to improve road infrastructure within the hospital premises, ensuring better mobility for patients, staff, and visitors.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta emphasized the importance of well-maintained roads within healthcare institutions. He stated that smooth road connectivity within the hospital premises would facilitate hassle-free movement of ambulances, emergency vehicles, and patients, thereby enhancing the overall healthcare services at GMC Jammu. He reiterated his commitment to infrastructural development in Jammu West and assured the public that more such developmental projects would be initiated in the near future.The senior BJP leader lauded the efforts of the concerned departments for expediting the blacktopping work and ensuring quality execution of the project. He also interacted with hospital authorities and local residents, seeking their feedback on the ongoing developmental initiatives. He urged the hospital administration to bring any infrastructure-related concerns to his notice so that immediate action could be taken.The MLA highlighted the relentless efforts of the BJP-led government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in transforming Jammu & Kashmir’s infrastructure. He assured that similar road improvement projects will be carried out in other key areas of Jammu West to ensure better public facilities.With the completion of this project, GMC Jammu is set to witness a significant improvement in road conditions, ensuring a smoother and safer environment for patients and medical staff.Principal GMC Dr. Ashutosh Gupta expressed his gratitude to Arvind Gupta for his proactive approach in addressing the infrastructural needs of the constituency. The event was attended by Mandal President Kushant Daffara, XEN PWD (R&B) Bakshi Nagar Division Jammu Sandeep Gupta, along with BJP karyakartas Karan Sharma, Mohit Vaid, Hardev Singh, Sonu Manhas, and several other officials and local residents.
