Arvind Gupta, MLA Jammu West, visited the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sarwal today to inspect the medical facilities and assess the services being provided to patients. He was accompanied by Medical Superintendent Dr. Sunil Kailu, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Vishal Raina, and a team of healthcare professionals during his visit.
During the inspection, Arvind Gupta toured various sections of the hospital, including Medicine, OPD, Physiotherapy, ENT, Orthopedics, Emergency Ward, and Dental Section. He also interacted with patients and staff, gathering valuable feedback on the quality of care and the availability of essential services. Many patients and their families shared their experiences and concerns, which he noted attentively.
While speaking with patients in the OPDs, Arvind Gupta emphasized the need for maintaining high standards of healthcare. He assured the public that his focus is on ensuring the hospital remains adequately equipped to serve the community. “Our objective is to provide quality medical facilities to everyone who comes here, and I am committed to making sure that SDH Sarwal can deliver the best possible care,” he added.
During discussions with the hospital administration, Arvind raised concerns about the need for adequate parking space, emphasizing that patients and visitors should not face difficulties. He also discussed the importance of ambulance services, urging the administration to ensure that ambulances are always on standby to respond to critical situations. He also discussed the issue of frequent power cuts and security arrangements during night hours to ensure the safety of staff and patients alike.
Expressing his appreciation for the hospital staff, Arvind said, “Healthcare is a fundamental right, and we must strive to provide quality medical facilities to all. I commend the efforts of the medical staff at SDH Sarwal. Your dedication and professionalism are truly commendable, and I will work towards resolving any issues that hinder your ability to serve the community.”
The senior BJP leader encouraged medical personnel to continue serving with the same spirit of compassion, emphasizing that patient care should always be their top priority.
