JAMMU, Sept, 04:
Senior BJP leader and contesting candidate for Jammu West Assembly constituency, Arvind Gupta, criticized the National Conference (NC) for its persistent anti-national rhetoric and its agenda to bring back Article 370. Addressing a series of meeting here today, the senior BJP leader criticized NC’s alignment with Congress in the upcoming Assembly polls, stating that both parties are focused on reviving Article 370 and granting autonomous powers to the state, a move he termed as detrimental to the nation’s unity and security.
He said “Under the garb of Article 370, Jammu & Kashmir witnessed a dark era of hartals, stone-pelting, killings of innocents, and the closure of schools and colleges in Kashmir Province. Since the historic abrogation of Article 370 by the Modi government, peace and stability have returned to J&K. The violence, shutdowns, and unrest are no longer a part of our daily lives. But now, the National Conference, backed by Congress, is shamelessly contesting these polls with the sole agenda of bringing back Article 370.”
The senior BJP leader further highlighted the involvement of former militants in campaigning for NC and PDP candidates as clear evidence of their anti-national stance. “When ex-militants are openly campaigning for these parties, what further proof do we need of their anti-national agenda? Their intentions are clear, and they pose a serious threat to the hard-earned peace in Jammu & Kashmir.”
Arvind Gupta praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and his relentless efforts in building a developed and secure India. “Our Prime Minister is working tirelessly, strengthening international relations with countries like Brunei and Singapore to elevate India’s stature on the global stage. While BJP is focused on development and progress, parties like NC, PDP, and Congress are busy courting international terrorism by pushing to revive Article 370 and destabilize the region.”
The senior BJP leader reiterated his commitment to safeguarding the interests of Jammu & Kashmir and ensuring that divisive forces like NC, PDP, and Congress are defeated in the upcoming Assembly elections. He urged the people of Jammu West to support the BJP’s nationalist agenda and stand united against any attempts to undo the progress achieved under the Modi government.
He appealed to the people of Jammu West to extend full support to BJP in the Assembly polls with an aim to continue an era of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. “Together, we will ensure that Jammu & Kashmir remains an integral part of India’s journey towards peace, progress, and prosperity,” he added.
