JAMMU, Sept 19:
Acharya Shri Chandra College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) shall be playing against the combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments in women’s Badminton final of the inter-college competitions of University of Jammu (JU) underway at Gymnasium Hall on the campus, here tomorrow.
Earlier, in the semifinals, decided today, ASCOMS defeated Government College for women (GCW) Parade 2-0 while PG Departments outplayed GCW Gandhi Nagar in straight games. Matches were officiated by the technical penal comprising Ravish Vaid, Gourav Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma, Jeevan Lal, Gourav Jamwal, Gourav Raina and Narainder.
The Results:
Semifinals: ASCOMS bt GCW Parade 2-0: Akansha Sharma bt Aarya Sharma 21-10, 21-11.
Doubles: Aarushi Jain and Ritvika Sharma bt Roshi Jamwal and Sakshi Jamwal 21-08, 21-10). PG bt GCW Gandhi Nagar 2-0: Meetali Manhas bt Vishaka Rajput 21-15, 21-19. Doubles: Meetali Manhas and Deepika Gupta bt Vishakha Rajput and Raaghvi Wazir 21-16, 24-22.
Quarterfinals: GCW Gandhi Nagar beat GCW Udhampur 2-0; PG Department beat GDC Akhnoor 2-0; GCW Parade beat GGM Science College 2-1; ASCOMS beat YCET 2-0.
