Aurvedic Hospital, Jammu organized awareness and Free Medical camp at Moungri.
Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu organized a Free Medical camp and awareness programme at Moungari In this camp more than 450 people are benefitted by the camp suffering from different ailments. Free medicine was distributed.
The programme was organized under the outreach programme of the hospital in association with number of Panchayats.
Dr.Taran Singh Medical superintendent Govt. Ayurvedic hospital, Jammu inaugurated the camp. Speaking on the occasion Dr.Taran Singh said that under the outreach programme of the hospital many such programmes are organized in different parts of Jammu. Many patients from Moungari-Panchari area visit our hospital for diffrenet ailments. Since there is no facility of Ayurvedic dispensary in the area, hospital on the request of different Sarpanches and panchs decided to organize a camp in Moungari in the interest of Patient care. He said that being the Himalayan state and home of best quality herbs, J&K can become the best destination for people seeking health benefits under eco friendly conditions. We can adopt new strategy for promotion of health tourism in Jammu.
Dr. Vikram Singh Jamwal ADMO Kathua asked the people to avoid junk food and unhealthy eating habits Ayurved stresses upon right diet. He further added Ayurveda places special emphasis on Ahara and believes that healthy nutrition nourishes the mind, body, and soul. Ahara is considered as one of the key pillars (Upasthambha).
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Dr. Anil Sharma M.D. appreciated the role of Director Indian systems of Medicine and Homeopathy J&K . He apprised people about value of nourishment through diet in his lecture on the occasion. He stressed upon the diet should be included of all essential element of nutrition . He said that nutritious diet is essential for active mind and healthy body.
Dr. Jatinder kumar MD said that Govt. Ayurvedic hospital always stands for the welfare of patient community.
Speaking on the occasion members of The members of Panchayat thanked the administration of Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital for organizing such camp for the first time in the area. They extended their support to make Ayurved popular. Present includesSh. Parmod Singh, Ramesh Singh,Munshi ram, Karnail singh, Bina devi, Nirjala devi Paches, sarpanches,Naib sarpanch.
An exhibition of medicinal plants was also organized on the occasion.
Dr. Anil Sharma M.D,Dr. Jatinder Kumar M.D., Sh. Ashok Naru Choudhary Sup.Pharmacist, Sh. Sat Pal, Sh. Swarn Singh extended their services for the successful camp.
