Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K President Pt Rajesh Kesri in a press conference on Sunday accused the government for its failure to properly maintain main roads of Bishnah Town and its surrounding ground Laswada Karela. Addressing media persons , Kesri said that condition of the roads is so bad that it is very difficult to move a car or two wheeler bike on these roads. If a person takes two trips on this road in a day, his body will be like reaching the hospital. There are potholes of one feet each which is callous attitude of concerned departments leaving innocent people to suffer huge hardships while moving on these roads. Failure of authorities to undertake repairs of dilapidated roads in the Bishnah town is taking heavy toll on commuters.
Commuters, traders and residents continue to face inconvenience due to dilapidated roads and lackadaisical approach of the authorities, added Kesri. Kesri further said that intermittent rains further exacerbated the situation, contributing to gridlock, and making travel around Bishnah town even more challenging due to the faulty drainage system.Kesri expressed disappointment over the lackadaisical approach of the authorities and said there is an urgent need for immediate repairing of these vital roads to alleviate the hardships faced by the community. With businesses suffering and residents enduring daily hardships, calls for swift action from the authorities have grown louder, urging comprehensive measures to address the pressing issue.Shopkeepers, in particular in current condition adversely impacted their businesses and said there is a decline in foot traffic due to the inaccessible and hazardous roads.Kesri said there is a need for immediate action from the authorities, “The authorities need to address this issue promptly. The business operations are severely affected in Bishnah town, and people are encountering difficulties navigating this road.” The dire state of the roads has also posed serious safety concerns for commuters. No attention has been paid for long to repair these roads and improve their condition.
