Narinder Singh Jamwal, Chairman Public Health Sanitation Committee Jammu Municipal Corporation on Wednesday asked the aspiring youth of J&K to reap maximum benefit out of enormous schemes launched by the PM Narendra Modi led Central Government to promote entrepreneurship.
He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating White Unicorn Café and Restaurant here at Nanak Nagar.
Jamwal while congratulating the owner of the newly opened food joint asked the youth of J&K to follow the pursuit by taking a cue from this venture. He also wished good luck to Café owner and asked him to ensure that food quality and sanitation should never be compromised come what may. He said that market associations comprising shopkeepers and other stakeholders have a greater role in maintaining cleanliness in the surroundings.
Giving the example of few Bazaars and spots in Jammu city including the road stretch near Asia Hotel where the neatness is exemplary, Jamwal said that he will not stop his mission until each and every market in the city will look like these places. He exhorted the people to take maximum benefits out of number of welfare schemes launched by Central Government. He said that government for ensuring socio-economic upliftment of all has come up with lots of schemes and it is pointless to wait for government jobs when there are vistas of opportunities to go for a start up and generate employment for others.
Jamwal said that JMC is on its toes to make Jammu clean, green and serene. “The days are not far when Jammu will get a berth in the list of cleanest cities of the country. The colossal and concerted efforts in this regard are apace and there is every chance that Jammu may find top slot in the aforesaid list”, he maintained.
