GANDERBAL, APRIL 03: As part of ongoing celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence under ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, the Revenue department Ganderbal today organised awareness cum interaction programme for farmers regarding the benefits of Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (DILRMP) at Conference hall, Mini Secretariat here.
The programme was presided over by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal, Abdul Baseer Ahmad.
At the outset, Assistant Commissioner Revenue gave a detailed introduction of the DILRMP and acquainted farmers about the benefits of the said programme.
He informed farmers that the digitization programme is being implemented and done in the UT of J&K by J&K Land Record Management Agency in two phases.
Under Phase-1, scanning of Revenue Documents, Establishment of Ground Control Points of all districts, Development of Web based Enterprise, Geo information System will be done. Whereas, in the 2nd phase the digitization of updated Jamabandies, Vectorization of serving cadastral maps from scanned data, installation of Sehada Stones/ Tertiary points, establishment of continuously operating reference stations using GNSS technology with DGP equipment shall be carried out.
During the training program question answer session was also held and the Assistant Commissioner Revenue answered queries of farmers in a magnificent way and farmers were satisfied with the kind of initiative that Govt. of India is aiming at through DILRMP.
The awareness cum interactive programme was attended by all Tehsildars, Naib- Tehsildars and Patwaries besides, farmers from different parts of the district also participated.
