The sources said in view of the threat of attack on the grand and divine Ram temple in Ayodhya by Khalistani terrorist Gur Pantwant Singh Pannu, Ayodhya has been put on high alert and security arrangements have been beefed up. Security arrangements have been tightened further after the latest video message by Khalistani terrorist Pannu threatening to attack on November 16 and 17.
As soon as this threat came to light, the police and administration started preparations to be completely vigilant. “Canada-based Khalistani terrorist Gurpantwant Singh Pannu has this time threatened to attack the Ram temple in Ayodhya,” they said.

A police officer said such videos have surfaced earlier also in which Khalistani terrorists and other terrorist organisations had threatened bomb blasts and suicide attacks in Ayodhya. However, security agencies have always been successful in foiling these threats, they said.
Earlier, the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) had arrested three suspects who had links with Khalistani terrorist organisations. These suspects were doing recce before the consecration ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. These suspects were identified as Shankar Duhasad alias Shankar Jajod, Ajit Kumar Sharma and Pradeep Punia of Rajasthan.

Confirming this, the Circle Officer (CO), Ayodhya, said the Chaudah Kosi and Panchkosi fair in Ayodhya has ended this evening. There is already special vigilance in the fair, for this additional security personnel from the centre and the state have been deployed. Despite this, special vigilance is being taken regarding the controversial video.
He said people from the central and state intelligence agencies are questioning if any suspicious person is seen at hotels, dharamshalas, bus stations and railway stations. Checking has been increased even at night on the city borders.
He said the security system is already completely foolproof. Now after the fair is over, Ayodhya has been put on high alert and complete vigilance has been increased in view of the threat from terrorists.
