Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and senior AICC leader, Ghulam Nabi Azad today reached Jammu on three-day visit to his home district Doda, Bhaderwah Sub Division and Ramban. He was received at the air port Jammu by JKPCC Chief Ghulam Ahmad

Mir and former Ministers Raman Bhalla, Mula Ram ,Jugal Kishore,Mohd Sharief Niaz, Waqar Rasool, Manmohan Singh ,Party chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma beside other prominent leaders of party. Azad will start his public interaction programme from Batote town and from there, he will reach Doda meeting people en-route, where he would meet various delegations/ party leaders and DCC/BCC office bearers. He will have night stay at Doda and would visit Bhaderwah next morning.After having public interactions at his home town, Bhaderwah, Azad will move to Ramban where he would meet the public/ party delegations at Chanderkote. He will have night stay there. After holding several meetings, he would return to the Union capital the same evening. This would be Azad’s first visit to his home town post- abrogation of Art 370 and creation of J&K UT. On earlier three occasions, he was now allowed to visit Jammu and Kashmir by the Government. Previously, he had paid visit to his home State with the intervention of Supreme Court.In September, Azad had undertaken a six-day visit to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of its special status under Article 370 of the Constitution on August 5.
