Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI), Bathinda, renow ned for its commitment to quality education and innovation, has taken a significant step towards empowering the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. In line with its vision of inclusive and accessible education, BFGI today during a Press Conference held at Press Club Jammu has launched a Scholarship Scheme worth Rs. 5 Crore for the students of Jammu and Kashmir.
Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. M. P. Poonia, former Vice Chairman of AICTE, serving as the Campus Director, BFGI has been at the forefront of pioneering initiatives aimed at transforming the educational landscape. The recent accreditation of NAAC A+ grade further underscores BFGI’s dedication to excellence in education.
Dr. Rajinder Singh Dhanoa, Assistant Director (Admin.), highlighted BFGI’s collaboration with CIIIT, Jammu, aimed at enhancing the technical skills and employability of engineering students. Additionally, BFGI aims to create an ecosystem conducive to start-up and entrepreneurship development in Jammu and Kashmir. With a steadfast commitment to equipping students with the skills needed to thrive in the dynamic landscape of the industry, we have established Centers of Excellence in collaboration with industry leaders such as Intel and Festo for providing exposure to cutting-edge technologies. In addition, he announced the establishment of a Drone Center and a Center of Excellence in collaboration with Schneider Electric, with many more such initiatives in the pipeline.
Amandeep Singh Dean Admissions in his address said that the Scholarship Scheme aims to make quality education more accessible to students from Jammu and Kashmir, enabling them to pursue their academic aspirations without financial constraints. Driven by the belief in the transformative power of technical education, BFGI has launched the initiative “Youth Empowerment through Technical Education.” This initiative seeks to equip the youth with the necessary skills and knowledge to eradicate poverty through employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
In the past year, BFGI has awarded scholarships worth Rs. 3 crores, and this year, the institution aims to distribute scholarships worth Rs. 5 crores, further demonstrating its commitment to supporting the educational aspirations of deserving students.
