Bandipora, Mar 21 (KNO): Days after resigning from the People’s Democratic Party, former MLA from border Tehsil of Gurez today joined the Bhartiya Janta Party in Jammu in presence of party president for J&K Union Territory, Ravinder Raina. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Faqeer Mohammad Khan who was the zonal president of PDP from North Kashmir’s Gurez area had resigned from the party a few days back. Talking exclusively to KNO, Khan said that he joined the BJP in Jammu today in presence of party president for J&K Union territory, Ravinder Raina and other senior leaders. “After consultations with my workers in Bandipora, Kangan and other parts of the Kashmir valley I decided to join the BJP for the wellbeing of the people of Gurez and Kashmir as well, ” he said. He said that after resigning from the PDP he held consultations with his with who suggested him to join the BJP.

Anantnag/Baramulla, Mar 21 (KNO) :The authorities in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have traced all the three PhD scholars who had earlier fled from Aligrah Muslim University (AMU) amid quarantine period without informing the varsity administration.

According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), officials in north and south Kashmir said all the three scholars have been traced and shifted to  Health Centers for examination.

A letter issued by the medical authorities at Aligrah Muslim University (AMU) in possession of—KNO stated that three scholars two from North and one from South Kashmir have fled the isolation wards without informing the medical practitioners or authorities there.

The authorities in Jammu and Kashmir timely swung into action and claimed to have traced the trio in their native villages from north and south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)  Anantnag Sandeep Chaudhary told—KNO that the scholar who had fled from AMU has been traced by the team and is with them.

The two youth from north Kashmir’s Baramulla district were also traced timely by the authorities.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr GN itoo told—KNO that the two scholars have been traced and have been shifted to Kreeri hospital for preliminary examination.
