UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 14: Hands on training was today imparted to polling staff here for the forthcoming Block Development Council Election-2019.
Around 113 polling and presiding officers (P1- P2) were trained by the Master Trainers for carrying out smooth conduct of the BDC election.
During the training session, the District level master trainers gave hands on training to the polling & presiding officers about the process of polling, handling of ballot boxes, counting of votes and other process and procedures to be adopted for the smooth conduct of BDC election 2019.
The Dy DEO informed that a total of 58 contesting candidates filed their nominations for BDC election in 17 Blocks of District Udhampur. He said 17 polling stations have been established at different locations of Udhampur district for an electorate of 2072 including 1399 male and 673 Female elected Panchayat representatives.
