Bhalla asks workers to actively counter misleading campaigns by BJP leaders

JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla on Wednesday reiterated his party’s commitment to safeguard interests of all sections of society. Addressing Block level meetings accompanied by Vice President and Treasurer JKPCC Rajnish Sharma Mian, General Secretary Narinder Gupta, Rajveer Singh, Sanjeev Panda at West Constituency of Ward-24, 27, 28,12,13 in Bakshi Nagar/Krishan Nagar/Rehari Colony/Resham Ghar Colony Jammu organized by Th Manmohan Singh District Jammu Urban President along with Block President Manjeet Singh Bedi , Bhalla asks party leaders and office bearers to continue with their awareness campaign against BJP’s wrong policies and programmes and said the party would not allow anyone to barter the interests of J&K people for their own nefarious interests. He said the victory of Congress in the upcoming polls is the solution to every problem. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Ricky Dalotra, Balbir Kumar Balli, Rakesh Sharma, Darshan Lal Verma, Block President Ajay Kumar, Parshotam Mehra, Camres David, Ashok Sharma, Pal Singh, Capt Hardev Singh, Amit Tandon, Tersham Lal, Raju Sharma, Kartar Singh, Bhagwan Singh and others.
During the meeting, Bhalla reviewed the ground activities of the party in Jammu District and took stock of various organizational initiatives and matters.He also asked the party leaders to work closely with the grassroots workers in addressing pressing public issues and concerns in their respective areas. “Our workers are the backbone of the party and all efforts should be made to involve the youth in evolving ways to strengthen the party and also reach out to the people who are facing the worst possible era of misgovernance and political instability due to the opportunistic Govt at the helm in J&K”, Bhalla said.Bhalla asserted that Congress under the stewardship of Rahul Gandhi is relentlessly fighting for the restoration of the fundamental rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The party firmly believes in upholding the principles of democracy and ensuring that every citizen enjoys the freedoms and liberties enshrined in the Constitution,” he said.
Bhalla said the struggle for the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir is not a short-term battle; it is a long-term commitment. “The Party will continue to work tirelessly to bring an end to the prevailing situation and ensure that the voices of the people are heard and respected,” he added. He said that Congress has all along strived for strengthening democracy at all the levels to have optimum participation of people in decision making and shaping their own destiny.He said that the Congress, known for its unwavering dedication to the welfare of the people, aims to create an environment where justice prevails, and the rights of every individual are safeguarded. The party stands united in its advocacy for reinstatement of the rights that were unjustly taken away.
Bhalla called upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir to stand strong and united, joining hands with the party in its mission. Together, they can pave the way for a brighter future, where democracy prevails and fundamental rights are upheld, he added. He accused the double engine government, led by the BJP, at the Centre of betraying people of J&K. He called on the party’s workers to actively counter the misleading campaigns propagated by BJP leaders, emphasizing the growing unrest and chaos prevalent across the region which added to the turmoil. It is our duty as members of the Congress to step up and counter these negative narratives with truth and integrity” as Congress has always stood for the aspirations of our people. He urging party workers to engage directly with the public, Bhalla added, “Our role is not just to contest elections but to be the voice of the people.
