Prof. Bhim Singh, President, J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) who attended the meeting of J&K political parties held in New Delhi by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on June 24, 2021 arrived today in Jammu after attending the PM meeting and other conferences in New Delhi on J&K situation. He was given a rousing welcome by Panthers Party activists and trade union leaders including Mr. Neeraj Dewan (General Secretary-Panthers Trade Union) and Capt. Anil Gour (Provincial President) at Jammu Airport. Ms. Anita Thakur, General Secretary of JKNPP who accompanied the Panthers Party President to New Delhi was also present in the reception.
The Panthers Party leaders and trade union activists led by Mr. Neeraj Dewan declared that every Panthers Party worker and the trade union activists shall continue fighting for justice and equality for all residents of J&K and Ladakh. Prof.Bhim Singh was taken in procession to Panthers Party Headquarter in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Addressing a press conference Prof.Bhim Singh conveyed to the citizens of India in J&K and in the rest of the country that the Panthers Party has taken a clear stand for restoration of Statehood of J&K which was founded by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1846.
Prof.Bhim Singh also, while addressing the Prime Minister, in New Delhi on June 24, 2021 clearly said that the Panthers Party shall continue its struggle for the restoration of Statehood of J&K and for immediate Assembly elections in J&K.
Prof.Bhim Singh told the press conference that the Panthers Party shall fight from the streets to the Supreme Court for the application/approval of the Instrument of Accession vis-à-vis Jammu and Kashmir was signed by Maharaja Hari Singh on October 26, 1947 and approved by the then Governor-General of India Lord Mountbatten the next day. Prof.Bhim Singh had conveyed to all the participants (all leadership of J&K present in the conference) that there will be no compromise on the date of holding Assembly elections in J&K.
He had told the Prime Minister straight that Assembly elections should be held and the State of J&K including Ladakh should be reunited. He said that dividing J&K into two Union Territories will go as a blunder in the history of India.
