Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik for re-hiring of 550 teachers under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) in newly created Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per press release, a deputation of RMSA teachers led by its president Pawan Singh called on Rajeev Charak, State Vice-President, State Incharge Trainings Department and Projects and Incharge BJP Ramban District. The apprised BJP leader about the injustice melted out to 550 teachers, who where first engaged and then government discontinued their service.
“About 550 teachers in total 320 in Jammu Division and 230 in Kashmir division were employed in the 110 upgraded high schools under RMSA vide government order number 597 Edu. of 2014, dated 23-08-2014, as per MHRD guidelines for teacher recruitment across India. However, the said teachers were discontinued as per Government order no, 222 of 2019, dated 09-07-2014,” the deputations informed.
The further added that various state governments including government of Manipur and Punjab regularized the services of teachers under RMSA programme as per MHRD guidelines.
However no such order was passed in the state of J&K rendering RMSA teachers jobless.
After listening grievances of aggrieved teachers, Raveej Charak strongly recommends that the services of RMSA teachers be continued and regularized in Union Territory. He appealed governor Satya Pal Malik to personally look into the matter and give due considered on priority.
Other who were presented on the occasion were Murari Lal, Kailash Singh, Rohit Sudan, Suman Parihar, Ramanpreet Kour, Soma Gupta, Sheetal Kumari, Chand Sudan and Mamta Kapoor.
