Bharatiya Janata Party, district Jammu West led by its District President Ayodhya Gupta organized a programme to thank the Central leadership for taking bold decision to abrogate Article 370, in which the party activists celebrated the occasion, enlightened by the information delivered by the speakers about the necessity of the removal and positives of Article 370 abrogation at Baby Caterers, Rehari, Jammu. Member of Parliament Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, former Cabinet Minister Sat Sharma (CA), Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta, party State Chief Spokesperson Adv. Sunil Sethi, Mahila Morcha State President Rajni Sethi and other senior leaders delievered their informative speeches on the occasion. Jugal Kishore Sharma while addressing the jubiliant activists said that certain shrewd political and separatists groups were saying that to touch Article 370 will be like to trigger a bomb, but now it has been done for the greater good of the people on the voice and demand of people. People were agitating since long to abolish the black Article, and this is the real “Shradhanjali” to those who laid down their lives in the due course. Now the real independence has been achieved. Many people were making hue and cry but they cannot tell any single benefit of retaining Article 370.
He gave the full credit of this day to the strong willed masses, who enabled Parliament to vote for its abrogation and said that old struggle since the Praja Parishad time has yielded results. 70 years struggle has ended and I feel proud to be a participant of the event, Jugal exclaimed. Ashok Kaul, in his address, said that only BJP had the guts to toke the strong decision for the welfare of the masses. He alleged that all earlier government only shared power house but never taken any bold decision for benefitting masses. He appreciated the decision and said that this will benefit the population at the large of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. We lost precious lives in Sunderbani, Joanrian and other areas costing us our ideologist Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee in the struggle to abolish the “Black Law” but we fought and today Women, Gujjars, Bakkarwals, Refugees, Valmikis and many more communities got their due rights.
Sat Sharma, in his address said that to impose Article 370 was a very wrong decision taken at that time. He said that public used to agitate since its inception. He told about the days of Jana Sangha and Praja Parishad and said that our predecessors did lot of struggle. He said that we were not able to take benefits of good decisions in the Centre. He said that we are done away with 370, the black chapter and now our focus will be on PoJK.
He said that the policies of Congress were not in the favour of Nation’s welfare since its birth and this proven by the speeches of their leaders earlier and today, giving a touch of favourism for Pakistan. He said that Congress wants to make this decision seem communal, but we want to make clear that our population is happy and this is proven by the celebrations of this decision by Muslims in various parts of the state.
Adv. Sunil Sethi threw light on the legal aspects of the law. He provided informative Detailed overview section wise in very easy language. He explained that why there was so much delay in abrogation of black article. He said that since 2014 we were working on the various aspects regarding this law and studying all facets. He also enumerated the benefits of abrogation of Article 370.
Chander Mohan Gupta, said that this step was compulsory for total integration of the state in emotional aspects. He said that abrogation of Article will increase the setting up of industries and said that Investors from others state will now be more interested come to come to this region of Nation.
State Vice-President Parmodh Kapahi, State Secretaries Sanjay Baru, Arvind Gupta, Praduman Singh ,Veenu Khanna, State Treasurer Parbhat Singh, Veena Gupta, Jeet Angral, Vijay Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Councillors, senior leaders from the state, District, Mandal, Wards and Morchas were also present on the occasion.
