BJP urges His Excellency President of India to extend the benefit of 10 per cent reservation to the persons belonging to poor among the general category people living in J&K as the act cannot be directly implemented in the state in view of Article 370, said BJP State President Ravinder Raina, while welcoming the passage of bill of 10% reservation to poor among the upper castes and added that Modiji has fulfilled his promise to empower every neglected section of the society.
BJP State President Ravinder Raina was also accompanied by former Deputy Chief Minister of State Kavinder Gupta, State Spokesperson and former Minister Priya Sethi and District President Jammu Rural Omi Khajuria, during his interaction with the media persons at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his brave and generous gesture to the people belonging to the general category but living in extremely poverty ridden circumstances, Ravinder Raina said that the step will give a sigh of relief to the crores of families living below poverty line and not having access to the good education and other amenities. He said that for the very first time any such consideration has been given to the economically poor families in general category in the last 7 decades and that too by the dispensation under Modi ji.
Modi ji has addressed age old demand of crores of people; Raina said and added that this step is welcomed by one and all. He stressed that this quota of 10% will be in addition to the existing quota, hence will not be having any negative impact on the existing quota of reservation being given to other reserved sections.
Asserting that soon the bill will take form of law, giving benefit to the people belonging to lower economic strata across all the states of India, Raina appealed to the Centre government along with Honorable President of India and Honorable Governor of J&K state to extend the benefit to the residents of J&K state as soon as possible so that the common man living in this part of state could also be benefitted by the landmark decision. He urged His Excellency, President of India to extend the benefit of 10 per cent reservation to the persons belonging to poor among the general category people living in J&K, in view of the fact that the act will not be directly implemented in the state due to the existence of Article 370.
Enumerating the landmark decisions taken by Central government led by Modiji, Raina said that the present dispensation has brought laurels to the nation in the entire world. Modiji has not left any stone unturned to address the issues faced by any of the distressed section of society, he claimed.
Taking jibe at hue and cry by Congress men every now and then, Raina said that “Good Days” have already set in for those who love the Nation although, surely, “Bad Days” have knocked on the doors of Congress men who have taken bath in the oceans of corruption and other evils. National leaders of Congress party are even ready to donate 1-1 Crore rupees to the designated terrorists who are killed by security forces, he lamented.
Raina said that earlier Modi government strengthened the weaker sections of the society by providing all benefits and special schemes for SCs, STs, OBCs and others in last four and half years. And now by providing 10 per cent reservation to economically weaker families is an historic step and it will give an opportunity to the poor and economically backward families in the country. He said “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas” is now reality in the country.
