BJP East Mandal team on Saturday felicitated Parveen Kerni for being elected as Mandal President for Jammu East, during a felicitation ceremony organised at Pt Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan Jammu.
On the occasion senior party leaders including Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP General Secretary, Vinay Gupta, District President, Rajesh Gupta, Ex MLA and Priya Sethi former minister were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Sethi said that people have lots of expectations from BJP and further we are also committed to the agenda of Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas and we are committed to provide development to the masses at their doorsteps.
“The people of Jammu realize that only BJP can fulfill their dreams and aspirations,” Sethi said.
Rajesh Gupta in his address welcomed the announcement of Panchayat elections in the Jammu and Kashmir aiming to decentralize power at the grass-root level.
“It is big step to strengthen democratic institutions at the grass-root level”, he said and hailed decision of the administration to conduct elections in J&K UT.
Vinay Gupta said that BJP has committed to strengthen the Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs) in J&K with an aim to decentralize power at grass-root level. He said successive governments has been failed to initiate any step for the development of J&K and the people were deprived of basic amenities like drinking water, regular power supply and good road network. He said BJP would fulfill the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring Jammu and Kashmir back on the path of development.
Speaking on the occasion, Priya Sethi asked the newly elected District and Mandal Presidents to play a vital role in addressing the issues of common masses besides highlighting the policies and programmes of BJP at every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir.
Parveen Kerni thanked the Party leadership for showing their trust on him and he promised that no one will be disappointed till he is represents the Jammu East Constituency.
Among others who were present included Jugal Dogra, Romesh Gupta, Sunil Sharma, Narrotam Sharma, Gopal Mahajan, Hari Om and Kuldeep Khandari.
