The Bharatiya Janata Party filed a complaint on Tuesday accusing state government under rivals Aam Aadmi Party of irregularities in building new classrooms in the city.
BJP’s Delhi unit—which claims that the alleged scam involves Rs 2,000 crore—lodged its complaint at the Parliament Street Police Station on Tuesday.
At a press conference he addressed on Monday, BJP’s Delhi chief Manoj Tiwari cited a Right to Information query to say that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal government spent Rs 2,892 crore on building 12,782 classrooms—a project he claimed they could have completed in Rs 800 crore.

There is a scam of Rs 2,000 crore in it,” Manoj Tiwari told reporters. The AAP has rejected the allegations, saying that BJP was trying to sully the good work that the party had been doing in the field of education.
