BJP gears up for Panchayat elections

After extensively sweating out for Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections in the state, Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir prepares itself for the approaching Panchayat elections in the state in a meeting conducted at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The marathon meeting was chaired by BJP State President Ravinder Raina (MLA) which was also duly addressed by MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, former Minister Sat Sharma and MLC Ashok Khajuria.
The meeting was attended by MLAs, MLCs, BJP District Presidents, District Incharges and the senior leaders from the constituencies having Panchayats and witnessed the threadbare discussions on all the issues related to the Panchayat Polls in the region.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, focussed that after extensive work out for winning the ULB elections in the state, the dedicated party cadre of party is fully charged up. He said that the party is all set to sweep the polls and carry the same momentum into the approaching Panchayat polls in the state. He said that although the process is energy consuming but the BJP worker is too enthusiastic for the whole set of election phases. He pointed out that it is only due to the dedicated efforts of the Central and State BJP leadership that has pressed hard for these elections to strengthen the lowest level of democracy. He once again pressed all to work hard to formulate the strategy to achieve the BJP’s target of “Panchayat to Parliament”.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his address, stressed that although the Panchayat elections are to be contested on non-party basis, but still the party leaders have a great responsibility to choose and support the right candidate with party ideology. He asked them to seek the ground reports from all the Panchayats to form an effective strategy well before the time.
Kavinder Gupta, in his address, asked all the cadre to focus their whole energy for the Panchayat elections. He said that as far as the local elections are concerned, the personal integrity of the candidates is to be taken into consideration as the most important step. He also called for the greater reputation built up of the party candidates in the common masses.
Ashok Kaul, in his address, sought after the information about various preparations being carried out for the Panchayat elections. He deliberated all the issues threadbare in the meeting and asked the senior leaders of the state for further activation of all the ground level party workers. He asked them to strengthen their core strategy and discuss it thoroughly within the party fold. He also assured them of all organizational support for ensuring the win of party supported candidates.
