JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla today asserted that BJP government has no vision. It is cheating the youth and the unemployed persons, and doing injustice. Instead of answering questions, it speaks lies, and avoids accountability.”He said that Congress has always protected the interests of all sections of society especially downtrodden and marginalized sections and ensured their due share and participation in every sphere of life including political empowerment right from basic institutions of democracy to highest levels. Lakhs of our educated youth are unemployed. Their parents had invested whatever they had for the education of these youth. We have to come out of this economic and social crisis. We cannot come out with mere sloganeering or through lectures and speeches but with proper planning and the execution of the plans.” Bhalla said.
Bhalla said Congress has always taken a “leading role” in tackling the challenges posed before the country. It very well knows how to discharge its role of sacrificing everything for the country,” Bhalla said while addressing meeting of party workers at Ward-29 Block-3 West Constituency, Subash Nagar organized by District Jammu President Th Manmohan Singh. Bhalla said that Congress always framed & implemented the pro poor and pro oppressed policies to ensure their upliftment since independence and referred to the protection of their rights to jobs in district cadre posts all over state in the last govt. He also referred to the plight of refugees and the poor farmers who were being uprooted by present dispensation and assured that Congress will fight for the poor & downtrodden.
Bhalla said BJP has brought miseries through unprecedented price rise for the poor, common man, educated unemployed and daily wagers and each section of society due to unprecedented price rise by huge taxations. The congress shall undo the wrongs of BJP govt and present dispensation and introduce the people friendly and various pro poor policies in Jammu & Kashmir thus giving major relief to the sufferings of poor, downtrodden and others. The people have little choice when it come to approach to a right person or the genuine office for the prompt disposal and hence it becomes the duty of the concerned person, especially the designated department official, to immediate provide relief to those who have approached the office with high hopes,” he said. He said that the Congress, as a public party, has built up robust grievances redressal mechanism at the party headquarters, where people approach with their issue.
Bhalla said “the ruling BJP was on a mission to disenfranchise J&K people with its selective policies and a coterie of federally-appointed officers, bereft of democratic bearings, calling the shots. The so-called Naya J&K of BJP, besides being low on the democratic mooring is also opposite to the idea of Naya Kashmir propounded by the Congress government,” Bhalla said, adding, “The downpour of fresh investments, job extravaganza, and infrastructure amplification is nowhere visible on the ground. Far from delivering on much-touted development promises, the people of J&K are continuously being denied their rights, and having a popular government in place is one of them.”
Bhalla said, “today, the situation of J&K has become adverse owing to the anti-people policies of the government. Spiralling inflation, poverty, malnutrition, crime and challenges before the democratic values, Constitution and Constitutional institutions, can only be tackled by the Congress. For this, everybody has to play an active role.”Urging the Congress workers to understand the pain faced by the people, Bhalla said, “The history of the Congress has been to reduce the pain of every section of the country. This is our present as well as the future. Hence, our first priority is the country and the people. Stand with them, share their pain, and work hard to help them get rid of the pain.” He also said that the BJP governments at the Centre and in J&K have “committed the sin of pushing people into problems”.
