The model set by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in running the country is matchless and has put a big question mark on the ability of other parties which ruled rather misruled the country for over 70 years.
This was stated by Member Parliament Rajya Sabha, Surendra Singh Nagar while addressing series of meetings in connection with DDC polls at Gujjar Basti Jarian, Nagri, Kathua.
The Member Parliament said that people now know without an iota of doubt that it is BJP and only BJP which has the potential to satiate their aspirations as other political outfits in J&K are ditto copies of one another with hypocrisy, deceit and bigotry their key traits and sowing seeds of hatred among masses as their sole agenda.
Yudhvir Sethi, BJP UT Vice President and Prabhari, in his address, said that for the last seven decades, the Gujjar community in the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state were pushed to the wall and deprived of their rights by the successive regimes.
“The saffron party has given Gujjars their due rights and status in the UT. BJP has given away as much as 34 tickets to candidates belonging to Gujjar community in District Development Council (DDC) elections,” Yudhvir said and added that BJP is the only party that has felicitated the community by this number of DDC tickets.
“DDC elections are being held in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir first time and these are the first major elections being held after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 (A). These elections are aimed to strengthen the democracy at the grass root level besides filling up the vacant posts of Panchs, Sarpanch and other PRI members,” he said.
Sethi said that with the agenda of party led by PM Modi, Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas, the BJP has been working for the upliftment of people belonging to every community besides acknowledging the people of their rights which were denied to them by the successive governments and dynasty political parties.
“The BJP will also give representation to Gujjars in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the UT of J&K,” Sethi said and added that Gujjars would be first time representing themselves and their community since Independence. He said that people of the UT were put in the dark by the self-centred family politics. Parties including NC, PDP and Congress have only ruled the erstwhile state for their pity gains and deprived the people of their rights, he said.
Apart from fooling and misleading the people for 70 years, Sethi said these parties have come up with a new theory i.e Gupkar Alliance to misguide the masses despite having lost credibility and faith among the people.
Sethi appealed to the people of particular Gujjar community to ensure victory to their Gujjar candidates of BJP in DDC polls so that their issues and grievances would be addressed. Besides he appealed to the people to ensure sweep victory to BJP in the ongoing DDC elections as only the saffron party will meet the demands and needs of people.
