JAMMU, APR 23:
Continuing with his fusillade against the anti Jammu forces, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and former Minister today made a fervent appeal to the people to unite to face the onslaught of vested interests out to marginalize Jammu and to denigrate its spirit of composite culture, pluralistic ethos and rich values. He said that Jammu region had a time tested history of pluralism and communal harmony which was contemptuously being questioned by political elements and forces inimical to the interests of Jammu region. The most unfortunate aspect was the BJP joining hands with such negatively configured forces to browbeat Jammu and to crush the sentiments of its people, lamented Harsh.
He was addressing huge public gathering in Pathwar and Chani Mansar villages of Ramnagar constituency.
Describing BJP as a sinking ship, Mr, Singh said that having been saddled with a huge baggage of mistrust, it was fast losing its space and relevance.
He said that its persistent surrenders and betrayals had shattered the faith of the people who were abandoning it and looking for alternatives and claimed that several prominent BJP leaders had approached the NPP leadership and expressed their eagerness to join it. He said that JKNPP would spring major surprises in the days to come with several leaders of other parties, intellectuals and prominent citizens of Jammu openly embracing the Panthers Party and its dogma. Accusing the CAPD Deptt of creating artificial scarcity of ration in the constituency, Mr. Singh sought a thorough probe into the working of the said Deptt.
He called upon Rural Dev Deptt for ensuring early clearance of liabilities of workers under MG-NREGA and to further check the abuse and misappropriation of funds under CD and Panchayats, MGNREGA, Bad Pocket initiative, IWMP and 14th Finance commission awards. He said that the omission and commissions in PHE Deptt would be duly brought before the notice of concerned authorities and a probe sought into the same.
He assured the public that the issue of staff shortage in various educational institutions and irregular, whimsical transfers of teaching staff would be aggressively agitated at the appropriate forums.
