BJP illustrates “How democracy is lived” as it represents true democracy in letter and spirit, while its activists carry out daunting task of elections right from Booth level to National level without any outside support, with such an example of brilliance and righteousness. This was claimed by Member of Parliament, National President BJP SC Morcha & National Co-Inchage BJP’s Organizational Elections, Vinod Sonkar, while addressing a meeting of BJP State Office Bearers, MLCs, former MLAs, Morchas, Cells, District Presidents, District Prabharis and Organizational Election Officers at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
BJP State President Ravinder Raina, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, former Dy. CM Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, former Minister Sat Sharma, MLC Ashok Khajuria, State Incharge Organizational Elections S. Varinderjir Singh, State Co-Incharge Organizational Elections Munish Sharma, State Incharge Membership Campaign Jugal Dogra also shared the stage during the meeting.
Ravinder Raina, welcoming National leader into Jammu & Kashmir, said that the party activists will learn a lot from his vast experiences. He said that our organization has a rich history of dedication and sacrifices since generations and the tradition must be kept alive with the conduct of fair elections electing right candidate for every chore. He said that this meeting will serve the purpose of “Training Camp” for all those party activists who are bestowed upon with the responsibility of carrying out the Organizational Elections in the region.
Raina, said that with the historic decision of abrogation of Article 370, our party activists are even more enthusiastic in all the three regions and we have accomplished our basic target of “Membership Campaign” for the region. He said that he along with other senior party leaders recently concluded tour of all three regions and found out that all the 10 Districts of Jammu as well as Ladakh are celebrating the abrogation of Controversial Article 370 and the normalcy is also returning fast in the Kashmir region. He said that Kashmiris are also happy with the decision and admiring PM Modi for the decision as they are well aware that the decades old rule by selected families have ended now giving just chance of growth and development to common person. Real pain for Congress leaders is that why there is normalcy in the region, Raina added.
Vinod Sonkar, provided a detailed overview of the technical details for the Organizational Elections starting with the Booth Presidents, then Mandal Presidents, after which District Presidents and then State President will be elected. He said that this whole process is the representation of the strong will and hardwork of the party activists who carry out the whole process every three years for keeping alive the internal democracy and principles of the organization.
Sonkar emphasized that the Election Officers designated by the party must keep their mind free from any bias or prejudice. He said that the designated party leaders must set an example of righteousness. He said that the party has carried out its Membership Campaign with a “Sarv-Sparshi (Touching everyone)” and “Sarv-Vyapi(Present Everywhere)”, and now the whole process of Organizational Elections will also be eyeing on giving representation to every community and every region.
Vinod Sonkar, also congratulated everybody for the abrogation of Article 370. He said that long standing black spot on the Indian Democracy has been wiped out with the realization of “Ek Vidhan aur Ek Nishan” along with “Ek Pradhan”, which was done away with after Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee sacrificed his life in Jammu & Kashmir.
Sonkar, pointed out that in the past, Induction of the Controversial Article 370 with “Temporary” word attached itself proved that it was to be removed, and we have done, what was needed for the safety, security and development of the region and the whole Nation.
Vinod Sonkar, added that the strong decisions like these are a result of the strong Nationalist government of BJP headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister & BJP National President Amit Shah with a power that has been given by the strength of Organization only and hence prompted BJP activists to carry out the whole process dutifully, while adding that in these elections, a candidate can win or not but the party must win in any condition.
Ashok Kaul, in his address, said that this is the perfect time when we can contribute our bit in the reorganization of party. He thus asked them to become active game changers for the greater good. He prompted the District Prabharis and District presidents for the declaration of Election Officers of the Districts and Mandals. He asked them to carry out the task meticulously as this will form the base of a strong organization.
Varinderjit Singh, provided the details of the work carried out in the region for carrying out the process of “Organizational Elections” smooth and fair. He assured the high command that strictness and vigil will be maintained for spirit of the process.
