BJP Mahila Morcha organised a Membership drive at Jewel where the Chief Guest was the State Mahila Morcha President Rajni Sethi.
The programme was organised under the leadership of Mahila Morcha Vice President Anu Gupta.
Large number of people including women participated in the event and became part of the Membership Drive launched by the BJP all over the country and also in J&K.
Prominent BJP leaders who participated in the event included Parveen Arora, Anju Dogra, Neeru Anand, Anita Gupta, Geetanjali Mahajan, Kashish Gupta and Khushika.
Mahila Morcha President Rajni Sethi while speaking on the occasion said that the Membership drive launched by the BJP is a nationwide exercise and in J&K there is increased focus to register more and more members to strengthen the party further.
Rajni Sethi said that as Mahila Morcha our focus would be to register more and more women members to strengthen the social base of the party. No matter women leaders of BJP have played a stellar role at the national level. She added that in the coming assembly elections the women vote would be crucial and as such we need to register incresed number of women.
Mahila Morcha Vice President Anu Gupta said that the women activists of the party are going from home to home and registering members and this campaign is going to continue in the coming days. Anu Gupta said that we have consistenty done grass root work and the results are there for everyone to see. She said that if the corporation elections are an indicator, BJP will form the next government in the state.
