Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District Jammu South, Mandal Gadigadh held a workshop on its primary membership drive (Sangathan Parv) here at Puran Resorts in Gadigarh Mandal of RS Pura Constituency. The BJP Sadayasta Abhiyaan was held in the esteemful presence of BJP National Secretary and MLA RS Pura Constituency Dr Narinder Singh, BJP District President Jammu South Rekha Mahajan, Seh Parbhari Jammu South Adv Dev Raj Sharma, Senior leader Ashok Khajuria, District Jammu South Convenor for ‘Sangathan Parv’ Rohiin Chandan, Workshop was organised under the Presidentship of Mandal President Gadigarh Vijay Sharma, and others who were present on the occasion.
While addressing the karyekartas, Dr. Narinder Singh stated that the BJP is not an election machine but a medium for fulfilling the aspirations of the people, and the party’s membership drive is not a mere number game but an ideological and emotional movement. He said 61 percent of those who joined the party so far during the ongoing membership drive are below 35 years of age throughout India. Dr. Narinder Singh educates youth are joining the BJP in large numbers after the prime minister’s call. He also said Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted professionals to enter politics with new thinking, adding such a move will give new direction to the nation. He asked party cadres to work effectively for the party’s 2024 membership drive ‘Sanghatan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024’ by renewing his membership and urged party workers to make special efforts to connect with the youth.
Rekha Mahajan said this very membership drive isn’t just a ritual. It’s an expansion of our family. It isn’t a game of numbers. It doesn’t matter what numbers we achieve. This membership drive is an ideological and emotional movement,” she added. Rekha Mahajan said from the days of Bharatiya Jana Sangh till now, “we have made all possible efforts to bring a new political culture in the country. She said the BJP is the only political party that is following the democratic process properly. She said the BJP is also expanding its work and strives to improve to live up to the expectations of the people. She spoke on the success of BJP membership drives in 2014 and 2019 and BJP attaining the number one spot in the world in terms of primary membership.
Adv Dev Raj Sharma thoroughly explained the online procedure of membership in the BJP in front of party workers. He said that it is primarily through dialing the mobile number 880 00 02024.
He said that membership can also be attained by logging in, scanning the QR code, and through offline mode in areas with low connectivity. He shared 8860147147 as the helpline number regarding any difficulty in the membership drive on the national level.
Rohiin Chandan provided the introduction of the ‘Sangathan Parv’. He said that the BJP holds the distinction of ensuring the internal democracy in its organization. He also boosted the morale of the party cadre.
