BJP organizes “Run for Unity” on birthday of Sardar Vallabh Patel

To pay rich tributes and remember great services of 1st Deputy Prime Minister & Home Minister of Independent India, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel popularly known as “Loh Purush”, J&K BJP organized “Run for Unity” programme which started right from the Satwari Chowk and culminated at Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Chowk, Jewels, Jammu. Massive rally comprising of BJP workers and common people from all walks of life ran to pay tributes to the great man, who united all the princely states to form a great Nation in the form of Dominion of India.
BJP State President Ravinder Raina (MLA) led the run from the front along with Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, MP Lok Sabha Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas, State Vice-President Parmod Kapahi, State General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi, MLA Rajesh Gupta, former Minister Priya Sethi (MLA), MLCs Ramesh Arora, Vikram Randhawa and other senior leaders of the party.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the enthusiastic party workers, attacked Congress for always promoting a single Nehru-Gandhi family at the cost of all other National Heroes. He said that today Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tried to give due recognition to Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel by unveiling his 182 meters long statue today, which will be known as “Statue of Unity”. He said that this statue will help to impart message of Unification in the whole of Nation and will also promote tourism in the region.
Kavinder Gupta, said that the Sardar Patel unified around 560 princely states in the difficult times, but the J&K state was deliberately kept out of his approach and that is the reason our state is suffering till today. He alleged that Congress Party belittled the efforts of the blood and sacrifices of numerous freedom fighters who laid their lives for the Nation.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing said that Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was a true patriot who believed in the complete unification of all the states into the mighty Nation, which has today become a symbol of greatness and power. Celebrating birthday of Sardar Patel as “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” is an attempt to recognize all the patriots.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, prompted all the students, activists and common masses to follow the footsteps of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel to pay him tribute and incorporate Nationalism in all.
Sat Sharma while addressing the gathering of runners said that after the Independence of India was successfully managed by the efforts of Sardar Patel, which is visible in the form of the greatest democracy of the world.

Anil Gupta, Arvind Gupta, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Tilak Raj Gupta, Munish Sharma, Kulbhushan Mohtra, Jaidev Rajwal, Baldev Singh Billawaria, Ayodhya Gupta, Anuradha Charak, Arun Khanna, Vinay Gupta, Prem Gupta, Jeet Angral, Veena Gupta, Rekha Mahajan, Adv. Rajesh Gupta, Dr. Akshay Sharma, Dr. Akshay Sharma, Sangeeta Gupta and others were prominent leaders present in the event.
