Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh bid emotional adieu to its senior leader late Upender Krishan Bhat in a “Shradhanjali Sabha” organized at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, who died after brief illness on 8th of October, 2019 at Delhi.
MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, Former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, BJP State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, MLC Ashok Khajuria, S. Virenderjeet Singh, MLC Ajay Bharti, S. S. Bijral, Dr. Susheel Wattal, Ashok Brarn, K.K. Khore President KP Sabha, Dy. Mayor Purnima Sharma and other BJP senior leaders expressed their emotions remembering contributions of the departed souls for the party and the society.
The speakers highlighted the sacrifices of Upender Kishen Bhat while working in the state BJP as office secretary with the former State President & former Union Minister Chaman Lal Gupta for nearly 10 years. Speakers also remembered the time, when he was jailed during period of emergency for 10 months. It was also said that he lived a life of simplicity and created examples with his dedicated works, while he continued to live by the ethics of Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS) Pracharak for his whole life.
Speakers also emphasized that, Bhat ji was carrier of multifaceted personality.
They said that to wonder within the pages of history was his much loved chore and he himself contributed in the writing and the compiling of history as it was one of his favourite fields which were assigned to him.
The programme was conducted by Chandji Bhat District President BJP Kashmir Displaced District.

Rajesh Gupta, Kuldeep Magotra, Govind Saren, Monika Khosla, Rohit Sharma and others were amongst the prominent BJP leaders who paid their tributes to the departed soul.
