Describing the PDP-BJP coalition government as anti-poor and anti-development, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said due to administrative inertia and lack of political direction, sufferings of the people have increased manifold during the past three years.
The insensitive coalition government has pushed people to the wall, as unemployment has increased, prices have risen and developmental activities have suffered, Bhalla said during a public meeting at Roop Nagar Digiana in Gandhi Nagar constituency on Sunday.
The meeting was organized by Shashi Syal. Prominent among those present on the occasion include SS Dutt, Narinder Singh, Jagdish Raj Singh, Phelwan Narinder Kumar, Mohd. Asraf, Sunil Sehgal, Ashok kumar kalsi, Jugal kishor, Darshan lal, Deepak kumar, Kamla Devi, Darshna Devi, Jogindera Devi, B.D Bhagat, Sham lal, Sumit Kumar, Sunny, Pappu, Rajinder Singh Raja, Rakesh Kumar Minia, Samer Singh, Laju Ram beside others.
Holding the coalition government responsible for the breakdown of the administrative machinery with the virtual collapse of law and order in the state, former minister said that no change is visible on the ground since the BJP-PDP coalition government took over.
He said that the BJP’s political constituency had suffered the worst neglect and discrimination under the present regime.
Referring to the miseries of the people in Jammu district, Bhalla said the scenario was no different in the entire state.
He said people in general were suffering on account of price hike, non-availability of ration, drinking water, roads and expressed concern over poor delivery system in the remote areas of Jammu district.
