Former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Monday said that BJP has become first choice of people due to its prolific policies which have brought revolution in the developmental scenario in J&K and elsewhere.
He said this while addressing hundreds of new entrants to party-fold, who after parting ways from various political outfits have embraced BJP under his leadership. Welcoming the newly joined members, he said that people are better judge and they have well gauged the difference between BJP and other political parties, which ruled J&K in the last over 70 years. The colossal development which took place after BJP came to power in 2014 is in itself testimony to the fact that this party has no match and the honesty and dedication of its leadership will steer J&K and the entire country to new heights of progress.
He said people have well understood now that successive governments in J&K have befooled them by way of denying good governance. He reiterated thatBJP is a nationalist party which works for the betterment of all the sections of the society unlike dynastic parties viz NC, PDP and Congress, which have unleashed misrule and autocracy in J&K for over seven decades. He made it clear that Narendra Modi government was committed to the overall development of UT of Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, Kavinder Gupta unveiled the plaque renaming Narwal Chowk as Raja Mandlik Chowk, here near Radisson Blue Hotel. Addressing the gathering, he said that BJP’s first and foremost priority is to popularize the local heritage and culture. He said that Jammu is known as Temple City and its people are quite traditional therefore such endeavours will go a long way in ensuring that coming generations also remain abreast with the rich culture of this land of seers and saints. He made it clear that what BJP has in offing for the UT of J&K no other political party can even think of it as the leaders of those parties are only concerned about their personal gains and vested interests. He said that it is just the beginning as in coming time BJP will transform J&K into a model region which not only people of other states but those living abroad will also envy looking into development surpassing one and all.
