While addressing a press conference at BJP HQ Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, J&K BJP led by BJP State Spokesperson Ranbir Singh Pathania (former MLA), expressed gratitude to the Governor, Satyapal Malik for taking prompt notice of the burning issue pertaining to selections of POs in J&K Bank.
Whereas, a deputation of aggrieved candidates from the region had called on Bharatiya Janata Party State President, Ravinder Raina who had taken up the issue with the Governor with full promptitude.
Going by today’s tweet of Chairman JK Bank whereby cut off merit has been declared as 40 for the entire State, Pathania put fullest force and vehemence behind the demand – as per the practice, precedent and legal position, selection against the post of PO in J&K Bank should be held on state-wise basis. He said that the post of J&K Bank PO is a (Scale-I) post and the final selectes can be posted in any branch within or outside the state.
So it defies all cannons of law, logic and legal permissibility, when the selection against these posts are held on district wise basis, purportedly under the garb of an alleged policy which neither notified nor discussed in any forum.
And not only POs, selection against the post of Banking Associates should also be on state-wise basis.
Pathania again put focus on initiating process for appointment of PIOs, first appellate authority and second appellate authority under JK RTI Act in line with the Governor led SAC decision to bring J&K Bank under the preview of J&K RTI Act.
Pathania was addressing media fraternity along with BJP State Spokespersons Balbir Ram Rattan and Ashwani Chrungoo, BJP State Incharge All Cells S. Varinderjit Singh and BJYM State President Vikas Choudhary at party Head Quarters Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
