It seems that BlackBerry is not leaving any stone unturned and is trying really hard to gain a foothold in the Indian smartphone market. The company will launch its new smartphone KEY2 next month and is side by side working on another device codenamed ‘Ghost’.
Popular tipster Evan Blass has revealed that the Canadian smartphone maker is working on a new smartphone code-named Ghost. He further adds that the device will sport a bezel-less display and will fall under the premium segment of smartphones. The image leaked shows that the smartphone will flaunt a metal unibody frame and will have curved edges. The SIM card tray and the antenna lines run by the side and the display consists of the selfie camera and earpiece. The smartphone is expected to launch in India soon and will be made by Optiemus Infracom, the company that has the license to design, manufacture and sell BlackBerry smartphones in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Evan Blass reveals that the device will launch in Q3 this year.
Recently, BlackBerry sent out media invites for the launch event of its new smartphone KEY2. the company will unveil the device on June 7 at an event in New York. The company also released a teaser video of the yet to be launched smartphone giving us the glimpse of the device. The teaser video hints that the company has finally joined the dual smartphone camera bandwagon. The video shows that the smartphone sports a dual rear camera setup with LED flash. It also shows that the rear panel has a diamond like pattern design which will enable the users to hold the smartphone comfortably. The side of the device consists of the power button, volume rockers and a third button. The third button is expected to be the convenience key or the camera shutter button.
