To celebrate the70th Republic Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan organized culture programe Republic Day with enthusiasm in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production at open air theatre, Durga Bhawan, Janipur Jammu. The function was inaugurated by Sh. Ravi Kumar Mansotra, Director Doordarshan Jammu as Chief Guest who unfurled the National Flag along with Guest Sh.V.K.Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India. Dr Anju Dogra, Medical Officer of Jammu and Kashmir Health Department, J.K.Raina, Freelancer Producer Director , M.L.Dogra ,former Regional Director Song and Drama Division , Sh.J.K.Prihar , Former Music Instructor , Song and Drama Division, were the guest of honors. Sheikh Sajjad Poonchi, Chairman Kehkashan cultural organization , Poonch presided over the function . The programme commenced with National Anthem Jan Gan Man and Vande Matram” and “Gan tantar Hamara Kirtiman.
The Chief Guest recalled the contribution of freedom-fighters in attaining Indias Freedom & exhorted the people to preserve its freedom at all cost. After the flag hosting an impressive Traditional cultural program was presented by the students of music & computer Institution , artists of BLSKS & Sangam Tru Art production . The patriotic items special designed by the artistes Like Ham Sab Ek Hain Suno- Suno Bharat Vasio , Uncha Rahe Tiranga and musical Play ” Beti Bachao Beti Padao were the special features of the program . BLSKS also celebrated “Beti Bachao Beti Padao” week & presented 246th Saturday Series Musical Play “Ladli” in a befitting manner.
Earlier welcoming the audience Mr. M.L.Dogra ,Chairman BLSKS highlighted the importance of the day & said though India became a free nation on August 15, 1947, it enjoyed the true spirit of Independence Day on January 26, 1950 when the Constitution of India finally came into force. The Constitution gave the citizens of India the power to govern themselves by choosing their own government. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, took oath as the First President of India at the Durbar Hall in the Government House and this was followed by the Presidential drive along a five-mile route to the Irwin Stadium, where he unfurled the National Flag. After independence we got our all the fundamental rights in our own Nation, our Motherland.
We all should feel proud to be an Indian and admire our fortune that we should birth on the land of an Independent India. Sheikh Sajjad Poonchi said in his speech that we ,us adopt indigotic culture of India and also revive our tradition of composite culture which BLSKS as contributed a lot in the hilly track of J&K State for the peace and the spirits of Communal harmony.
All the renowned artistes and students took a solemn pledge on the occasion to eradicate social evils & to foster National Unity. The renowned singers ,musician ,actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were Usha Handoo, M.C.Kotwal, Raju Bajgal , Rajni Gupta, Kawaish Gupta, Devansh Gupta , Anita Devi, Rakshit Sharma , Druv Pandit, Kuldeep Raj Sangral, Ujwal , Usha Rani , Saparsh Sharma, Deevam Jandiyal, Ganshayam Murari, Mohd. Rafiq, Azen Ali Haidery, Gitanjali, Sanvi, Heena , Priya, Bindia Arora, Mukesh, Sunil Singh Salathia, Uttam Singh Manhas, sahil Kumar Dogra, Rudra, Mohd. Afroz Aalam, Darshan , Sapna devi , Chahhat Chadha, Mahi, Darshan , Sooraj, Sant Dass, Gauri Lal, Rahul Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, and many others presented the enthrilled performance at last of the programe Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
