To celebrate the World Heritage Day & To promote the traditional folk cultural of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production & National College of Computer Education presented Musical Play “SAHARA DUGGAR” as parts of its regular feature at open air theatre Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu. The World Heritage Day 2019 theme is RURAL LANDSCAPES . The programme commenced with welcome song “Shub Swagtam” presented by the artists of BLSKS and lighting of traditional lamp by the Chief Guest / Guest of honors. The programe was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr.Anju Dogra, Health Department, J&K Government, Sh.V.K.Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity ,Government of India , Dr.Anupriya Sharma, President Medical Cell J&K were the Guest of Honor. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest said that the World Heritage Day is observed every year on April 18 to celebrate and promote cultural heritage across the world. The objective of World Heritage Day is to emphasize the importance of safeguarding various sites around the world that have achieved world heritage status and the challenges involved in protecting these sites. The musical Play “SAHARA DUGGAR” written, produced and directed by Sh.M.L.Dogra (Chairman BLSKS). The song sung by the artists are “Jammu Sada dogrya da shear ” , “Apun Jagna Duen Gi Jagana” ,” Hum Sab Ek Hai ” , ” Vishwas Ki Rah Par Hum Chle”, ” Desh Sada Dogra Se pesh Sada Dogra”, “Kali Mata Bawe Basdi”, the music was composed by renowned singer of J&K Sh.Raju Bajgal. Welcome address of Sh. M.L.Dogra (Chairman BLSKS) said in his speech the World Heritage is the shared wealth of humankind. Protecting and preserving this valuable asset demands the collective efforts of the international community. This special day offers an opportunity to raise the public’s awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage and the efforts that are required to protect and conserve it, as well as draw attention to its vulnerability. Protecting and preserving heritage rural sites requires the collective efforts of the entire international community. It is important for travelers like us to know how we can contribute to nurturing heritage sites. Usually, local and foreign experts and personalities are invited for seminars calling attention to this day in cultural centers, city halls, and other public spaces. In addition to that, organizations or people who have made an outstanding contribution to the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage receive recognition via certificates and awards. Special awareness-raising activities among school children and youth are also held around the world.
The singers ,musician ,actors and students of Music and Computer institute who performed in the musical play were K.K.Joshi, Ali Mohd, Jugpreet Singh, Kuldeep Raj , Sunil Singh, Raju Bajgal, Isha Nekaliya presented the enthralled performance. Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
