On the occasion of World Population Day, a pledge taking event to create awareness on world population & to promote the Traditional Duggar Culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan mount three days awareness Campaign & presented its 441th Regular Series Musical Play “BADTI ABADI” in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art production at Durga Bhawan , Janipur Jammu, the theme for this year’s is ‘To Leave No One Behind, Count Everyone.’ According to United Nations: “Over the past 30 years, we’ve improved how we collect and use population data, leading to better health care and rights.. The Program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Anju Dogra, Health Department Jammu, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir, Sh. Romesh Chander , , Advisor, Shavshat Art Gallery J&K, Sh.V.K.Magotra,Former Regional Director, of Directorate of Field Publicity , Government of India , Sh.J.K.Raina, Freelancer Producer Director films & Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Chief Medical Officer, Jammu and Kashmir Government , & Mr.Mukesh Singh, Media Person – The Shadow Newspaper were Guest of Honour. The Songs presented were written and Directed by Dr.M.L.Dogra , Former Assistant Director of Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information Broadcasting, Government of India. The Programe was commenced with the songs were “Badti Aabadi Roko” , “ Zimme Dari Nibhao Plan banao”, “Chota Parivar Sukhi Parivar” , “Bache Do hi Achhe” , “Ek humara ek tumhara – do ki do santan ” , “ Baiman Lok kase Diya mar De” , “ Sun –Sun Saheli Meri Sun, Paruhn Likhu yehi Meri Dhun” , “ Kya Pier Kahun Apne mann Ki” & the music of the Concert composed by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor, BLSKS. The Songs on theme were also presented and upload online on Social Media for benefit of the people like “Roko Roko Roko badti abadi rooko ”. Mr. Mahesh Chander Kotwal , Secty. BLSKS , said the in his speech World Population Day is annually observed for the following purposes, to draw public attention to the urgency and importance of global population issues, to promote awareness of rapid population growth’s impacts on health, development, and the environment. Control the population and save women’s life. Reduce the crowd over earth for a better future. The increasing population is toxic to the earth’s environment. Overpopulation is the overload on the planet; Let’s pledge to reduce the load. All the renowned artistes and students took a solemn pledge on the occasion to eradicate social evils & to foster National unity. The singers ,musician ,actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical concert were Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta , Zulekha Bano , Naiya Meenia , Renu Bala ,Rajeev Salotra and many others presented the enthralled performance at last of the programe Sunil Kumar Pandit presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
