To promote the TraditionalFolk Culture of J&K ,BhartiyaLokSangeet Kala Sansthan, in coordination with Ministry of Culture ,Government of India concludesSanskritiMohatsav Mega Cultural Program on “Swatch Bharat / Beti BachaoBeti Padao / Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav / NashaMukat Bharat Abhiyan” in its 476th Regular Series Musical Play ” SadaVirsa” at Shubh International School, JiaPotsaGhatAkhnnor. A pledge was also takenon drug abuse by more than 200Students ,Teachers and prominent citizensby Miss Chahat Chadha , Artistes of BLSKs administered the pledge &acertificate of honor by the Ministry of Culture was gives to the Principal of the Host School by BLSKS.The Program was inaugurated by Chief Guest ParmukhMahant Brahmin Giri&ArtiGiri of MairaMandrian Temple Akhnoor, , Jia Pota Ghat Akhnnor, MahantParmeshwardass , President Durga Temple Akhnoor Sh. V.K. Magotra ,Former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India andSupriya Bali , Pranav teacher, Mohan Singh Jamwal , Senior Journalist Akhnoor were guest of Honourafter lightening the traditional lamp .Mrs. Shilpa Mahajan , Principal, Shubh International SchoolAkhnoor presided over the function.
The day commemorated as well with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional , Primitive Folk, Art, Culture of J&K Region in particular and Indian, “SaraswatiVandna- by School Students “, ” Ved Mantra”, “Mero Rumal”, “Swatch bharat kairadakarliyahumne”, ” Jan Jan Mara Aids Rog Jaan”, “Nashana Karna Man lo KhenaPayaro Bhai behna Hogi Badi Kharabi” , ” Azadikaamrutmahostav “, ” Mere Hikru Gadbad” , Nukkad, Skits ,Songs and Dances were staged.
The Chief Guestthe main aim of this day is to create awareness about the ill effects of tobacco, the disease it can cause and the preventable measure. It also reaffirms our commitment to achieve social goals, initiatives to end drug abuse and strengthen community-centric approaches and expressed the resolve that India is committed to root out the menace of drug abuse at any cost . The cleanliness campaign of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was run on a national level and encompassed all the towns, rural and urban. Sh.Usha Raina , Troupe Leader ,BLSKssaidevery year on october 15, the World Students’ Day is observed to honour the contributions of the former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in the field of education.
