To observe the World Breast-Feeding Week, & To promote the Traditional Duggar Culture of J&K , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan today presented 72nd Saturday Series Musical Concert during Quarantine Time in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art production at Rehearsal Hall , Durga Bhawan,Janipur Jammu on the theme of “Protect Breastfeeding: A Shared Responsibility”. The Program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Sh.V.K.Magotra ,Former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India and Dr.Anju Dogra, Govt. Health Department, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir & Sh.J.K.Raina, Freelancer Producer Director films, and Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director ,J&K Health Department, were the guest of honor.The Songs presented were written and directed by Sh.M.L.Dogra, Former Assistant Director of Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information Broadcasting, Government of India. The programme commenced with song of “Dudh Maa Ka Hi Pilao”, “Laga Gran Sare Sehtu Da Mela”, “Piya Hai Maa Ka Dudh to Aja” & staged by the renowned artists of BLSKS & music composed by Sh.Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor, BLSKS. In addition to the above skits on theme, also presented at various Blocks & Villages of Jammu Distt. at Mathwar, Raipur, Seri Pandita, Aam Garota, Galali, Domana Bateda ,Chandiya from 1st August to 6th August,2021. The musical play, dances and skits presented were highly appreciated by the audience and dignitaries. The chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective and highlighted the importance of Breast Feeding the best feeding for keeping our babies healthy and to protect against allergies, sickness, and obesity. The benefits of breastfeeding have been well documented. Though it is most apparent during infancy, these benefits have enduring effects that promote optimal health throughout the life of the breastfed baby and his mother. Human milk is a complex, living substance with numerous disease-fighting and health-promoting ingredients; it is a complete infant support-system that provides both nutrition and protection. Breast milk contains immune molecules called antibodies that destroy germs.
