To promote the traditional culture of J&K & to aware the masses, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) staged 270th Saturday Series Musical Play “DOLI” in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production & National College of Computer Education as parts of its regular feature on the theme of “Save Girl Child” at Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu. The programe was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr.Anju Dogra, Health Department, J&K Government. Sh.V.K.Magotra, former regional director, directorate of field publicity , Government of India. , Dr.Tara Singh Charak , Former Deputy Director ,Health Department, J&K Government , Sh.Vinod Dogra, Chief Service Engineer Excide & Sh.R.P.Amla , Event Director were the Guest of Honors. Speaking on the occasion chief guest lauding the role of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan-(NGO) and underlined the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the state to generate awareness among the masses about various social evils through theatre/drama which are still very powerful medium of communication & Sh.Vinod Dogra also highlighted the “Ladli Scheme ” Government of India, said aim of Ladli Scheme is that to alter the position of the girl kid in family / the public. It also aim to help modify the people’s mindsets for appropriate taking care of the girl kid and as well as to offer the girl child their birth rights as started in Indian constitutions. Daughters are taking care extremely deprived in current society in contrast to boys in the society. The behavior a girl child takes from the family members is extremely pitiable .To battle all the troubles such as female feticide warning female sex ratio & to augment the figure of the daughters in the families of the society government has set has set up a variety plans in which a girl child obtains particulars profits.
The Musical Play “DOLI” written, produced and directed by Sh.M.L.Dogra (Chairman, BLSKS)and said that two conservative families who are bent upon getting their daughter and son married at tender age, ignoring the advice of intellectuals of the society.
The marriage turns into a disaster making the life of both bride & groom miserable. Even bride ends her life owing to pangs of pregnancy at childhood after delivery of a dead baby. The cries of baby girl in womb of the mother caution all of us in the society “Don’t kill me. I will be your helping hand in old age”.
According to the scheme the daughter child obtains free education & upbringing with additionally after eighteen years of age she will be permitted to acquire One Lakh Rupees and also said cultural Organizations to contribute in enriching the cultural heritage of the country and inspiring the younger generation to follow the footprints of their elders in preserving the composite culture of the Nation. The song sung by the artists are “Doliyan Sajaaian”, ” Baiman lok kase diya mar de”, “Hum sab ki Ladli beti”, “Dhiyan gi na marro” , “Betiyia Doo Ghar Ka Chirag”, “Mang rahi hai beti jag mai jine ka adhikar” , “Sun -sun saheli meri sun, paruhn likhu yehi meri dhun” , ” Kya pier kahun apne mann ki” the music was assisted by Sh. Raju Bajgal.
The programme commenced with welcome song presented by the artists of BLSKS and students of the institute. Welcoming the dignitaries Usha Handoo,Troupe leader -Stap explained aims & objectives of the programme which have been assigned to the sansthan for betterment of society in his key note address highlighted the various aspects of play which has been produced in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India and State Government of Jammu and Kashmir with Health department for mass awareness. The singers ,musician ,actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were Usha Handoo, M. C. Kotwal, Raju Bajgal , Rajni Gupta, Kuldeep Raj, Sumeta Bhat, Chahat Chadha, Sahil Gill, Deevam Jandiyal, Bhumika Chib, Azen Ali, Mehak Sharma, Kritika Sharma, Nisha Arora, Kamli Devi, Manish Kerni , Vansh Raina, Megha raina, Sanvi Raina and many others presented enthralled performances. At last Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
