To aware the people to strengthen Indian Democracy by casting their vote,NukkadNatakTitle” MERA VOTE MERA ADHIKAR” wasstaged by the artistes of BhartiyaLokSangeet Kala Sansthan, in coordination withSangamTru Art Productionits 460th Wednesday Series Musical Play atJanipurJammu on today under the overall direction of Dr.M.L.Dogra.The Musical play is written, produced and directed by Dr.M.L.Dogra , former Regional Director , Song and Drama Division Ministry of Information and Broadcasting , Government of India. The Program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Sh.V.K.Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. Among the Guest of Honors, Dr.AnjuKumari Dogra, Govt. Health Department JammuDr.Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director , Health Department J&K Government, RomeshChander, Advisor, Shavshat Art Gallery & Mr. Mukesh Singh Media Person graced the function.The prog was organized with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional , Primitive Folk, Art, Culture of J&K Region. The Specially items prepared on the theme” Mera Vote MeraAdhikar”, ” Vote Dalana Hai BadiZaroori”, “NetaChuneKhudse”, “SavdhanSavdhan ae BhaartvasiSavdhan”, Nukkad, Skits ,Songs were presented. The Chief Guest said since India is a democratic country in which the decision to choose the government lies in the hands of its citizen. Hence, its the responsibility of the people of the country to cast their votes patiently and with integrity and chose the government effectively. The responsible voter is the one who participates in casting their vote. The voter should not fall into any party’s influence or cast.The efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes effective& result oriented needed to be be appreciated. Theme based songs written by Dr.M.L.Dogra,were also recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples. Mr. Mahesh Chander Kotwal, Secty. BLSKS said SVEEP is the flagship program of the Election Commission of India for voter education, spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy in India. It is a multi-intervention programme that reaches out through different modes and media to educate citizens, electors, and voters about the electoral process in order to increase their awareness and promote their informed participation. SVEEP is designed according to the socio-economic, cultural, and demographic profile of the state as well as history of electoral participation in previous rounds of elections. Our volunteers and outreach workers are going from door to door, and nearby localities of Jammu city to educate the people about Democracy . The singers, musician and actors who performed wereZulekhaBano , Rahul Kumar , Rajni Gupta , Chahat Chadha, Bindia Okheda, NaiyaDigra , RenuBala.Mr. Deepak Kumar Dogra, ProgrameIncharge, presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
