To observed the “73rd Indian Army Day”, & promote the traditional culture of J&K , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan presented 44TH Friday Musical Concert “VEER JAWAN in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production during Quarantine Time at Rehearsal Hall, Durga Bhawan Janipur, Jammu. The Program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Sh.V.K.Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate Of Field Publicity, Ministry Of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. Among the Guest of honors present were J.K.Raina, Freelancer Producer Director films , Dr.Tara Singh Charak, former deputy director, health department J&K Government, , Dr.Anju Kumari Dogra , Directorate of Health J&K Government. Specially items prepared on the theme, ” Uncha Rahe Trianga”, ” Hum Sab Bhartiya Hai “, “Khud Jio auron Ko Bhi Jine Do….” , “Kar Chale Fida Jane Tan Sathio”, “Ae Mere Wata Ke Logo”, ” Jai Jawan Jai Kisan”. The Concert was directed by M.L.Dogra ,Chairman and music of the concert was assisted by Sh.Raju Bajgal , Music Instructor BLSKS. Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest said Army Day is celebrated in honour of the soldiers and Jawans of the Indian Army who laid down their lives on the line of duty.. On this day, special parades are being organized by the Indian Army to salute its veterans and soldiers who lost their lives on the line of duty and corona virus pandemic. Therefore, people are advised to stay inside their homes and maintain social distancing. However, you need not worry as you can still share these messages, wishes and quotes with veterans and soldiers of the Indian Army to thank them for their selfless service to the country and also lauding the role of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan-(NGO) and underlined the importance of staging such musical concert in all parts of the state to generate awareness among the masses about various social evils through theatre/ drama which are still very powerful medium of communicationEarlier M.L.Dogra (Chairman , BLSKS) welcomed the distinguished guests and apprised about the importance of holding such awareness programs and also informed India is celebrating its 73rd Army Day today. Army Day is observed on January 15 every year because it was this day in 1949 when General Later Field Marchel KM Cariappa took over the charge of Indian Army from British General Francis Butcher and he adopted the slogan ” Jai Hind” which mean “Victory of India.
